After the dissolution of the International DanceSport Council (IPDSC) at its final Annual General Meeting held in Stuttgart, GER, on 15 August 2010, the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) wishes to inform the worldwide DanceSport community that the IPDSC Presidium, which was formally elected at the Extraordinary Meeting in Vienna, AUT, on 14 June 2010 will serve as the IDSF Professional Division Managing Committee.

The final round of the IDSF Grand Slam Standard was undoubted the closing highlight of the 24th German Open Championships. Silde/Firstova win the Grand Slam Latin
Standing Ovations for the first time at this year's GOC for the finalists of the IDSF Grand Slam Latin. 336 couples started the day before, six danced the last round to a full house at thursday eve – including the two solo dances Rumba and Paso Doble. IDSF Athletes' Forum, Stuttgart, Germany, August 18, 2010
The IDSF Athletes Commission invited all interested people to its "Athletes' Forum" meeting in the course of the 2010 German Open Championships, held August 17-21, 2010 in Stuttgart, Germany. Commission Chair Timo Kulczak welcomed about 100 participants, who met in a large assembly room in the Maritim Hotel Stuttgart.

Somewhat around 60 IDSF Chairmen came to Stuttgart to attend the this year`s Congress at the GOC, Hotel Maritim.The IDSF President Mr. Carlos Freitag and the IDSF Sports Director Mr. Marco Sietas welcomed the attendents and were very pleased with the great interest and reminded everybody of the great importance and responsibility of the Chairman`s role in a competition.

Leon Leonard, Honorary Member of the IDSF
The International DanceSport Federation is saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Leon Leonard, IDSF Honorary Member.
Mr. Leonard met his wife Irene in a Dance School. They started to dance in 1951 and became Belgium Champions in Standard and Latin. They hold this title for 10 years. They also danced in many Finals in International competitions.

The ultimate bonus tracks have gone up on the IDSF channel DanceSport Total: Alexey Silde, Anna Firstova and eight of the other finalists in the 2010 IDSF European Latin danced a freestyle show on 20 June in Ostrava, CZE.
